About Us
Hi, I’m Brent Harding.
My journey in the arts began with charcoal sketches and evolved into oil painting. Over the years, I also became proficient in watercolor and acrylics. I am a self-taught artist who spent many years as a successful landscape painter, and everything I learned about light and colour in those landscapes now lives on in my stained and fused glass work.
I have been working with glass for over thirty years. It is technically challenging, yet incredibly rewarding. What I love most about fused glass is that there are always new avenues to explore, pushing me to refine both the process and the final piece.
My creations are inspired by the beautiful landscapes of Cape Breton, where light, water, and land come together in constantly changing ways.

I am a resident artist at the Kor Gallery in Kitchener, Ontario, and I have created many corporate and residential pieces: entrance ways, kitchen accents, picture windows, room dividers, wall and window hangings, plus functional items like vases, lamps, bowls, plates, and tea-light shades.
I am grateful to the Cape Breton Centre for Craft & Design for their support and guidance, and to the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia for representing my work in their shop.
Above all, I have to thank my mother. When I was seven she enrolled me in evening oil-painting classes, and art has been part of my life ever since.
Thanks for visiting. I hope you enjoy the work.
